POSITION: Senior Account Executive – Sales Department

LOCATION: Utica, NY

JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, located in Utica is seeking a Senior Account Executive to generate revenue by adding new customers by providing products and services that will aid in their business success. The successful candidate will assist Relationship Managers in increasing loyalty and growing profitability within customer base.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain sales goals set forth by company

Engage in prospecting activities within service area

Maintain pipeline of opportunities to ensure monthly goals are met

Identify opportunities for sale of products and services to business community

Lead sales cycle from opportunity identification to order request by engaging resources and experts to design and sell technology solutions

Ensure each sale maintains profitability standards

Understand products and services and the processes required for successful sales and delivery to the end user

Miscellaneous responsibilities to include:

External networking and relationship building within community

Researching the internet for competitive and related information

Staying abreast of current events as they affect our customers and provide sales leads

Document prospecting and selling activity in company database

Attending sales meetings and trainings

Participating in training and networking events

Provide market feedback as required

Other duties as required

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The AE is ultimately responsible for obtaining a profit quota each month. Attainment of this quota is baseline for both satisfactory performance review and bonus calculations.

The AE is also responsible for the satisfactory experience of the initial onboarding of new customers.  They are responsible for understanding the customer’s needs, resources, and monitoring projects and relationships to successful conclusions. The Account Executive is frequently required to perform duties beyond the normal workday

 EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED:

Ability to use computer, telephone, smartphone/smart device, printer, copier/fax/scanner, calculator, automobile

Ability to use the following software: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote), Web Browser, company database/CRM system

Employee must supply his/her own smartphone

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

A valid driver’s license is required and valid transportation to attend work group meetings, customer meetings and organization meetings.  Other limited travel may be necessary

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)

Prior working experience and proven success in outside sales (3-5 years); telecom and/or technology background preferred

Strong communications skills, both oral and written

Organized & attention to detail

Competitive and motivated individual

Computer literate and good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point
