Position: Marketing Specialist
Location: Utica, NY
Our client, located in Utica is seeking a Marketing Specialist to be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day firm marketing efforts, should be able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas. You should also be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics. Working with other firm team members you will assist with creative assets to ensure alignment with firm culture and reputation. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth.
Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
Liaison with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts
Assist with initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.)
Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
Work with advertising and media agencies on day-to-day support and execution of creative deliverables
Work with firm teams print and digital asset inventory to ensure creative alignment across all team marketing efforts
Work with operations and teams to develop and respond to RFP design requests.
Provide support for social/community content to ensure alignment with broader brand/product strategy.
Plan, design, and develop effective presentations for internal and external use
Collaborate with compliance to ensure all marketing campaigns and materials are in compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field preferred
3-5 years of proven marketing or marketing communications experience
Experience with website maintenance, copy writing and graphic design (Photoshop, social media, etc.) including photo editing
Understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google, etc.)
Knowledge of HTML and web development tools desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Well-organized and detail oriented
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
