Position: HR Manager
Location: Utica, NY
Summary: Our client, located in Utica, NY is seeking an HR Manager to develop and manage the day to day operations of the human resources department. The HR Manager will play a significant role in assessing and enhancing the current practices within the department and making recommendations for further growth and efficiency.
Specifically, the HR Manager will manage both strategically and tactically, the following functional areas: organizational development, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and talent acquisition.
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking HR professional, with an employee centric approach and the desire to grow within an organization. The ability to build trust and counsel employees, identify training and development needs and confidentiality is a must.
Implement and update the compensation program; rewrite job descriptions as necessary; analyze compensation; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
Lead the assessment and management of onboarding program for new employees.
Identify and implement employee training and development.
Partner with department leaders to facilitate performance management and development of employees.
Management of employee relations matters.
Compensation and benefits administration including open enrollment, communication with and recommendation of vendors.
Responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring training programs within the organization.
Evaluate current talent management and human resources processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the organization/business unit.
Development of various forms and manuals used by the company to include employee handbook, job descriptions, offer letters etc.
Continuous development of employee-oriented company culture that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and mission.
